I watched the director's cut of "The Professional" this weekend with some friends. I had not seen it since it was in the theaters. It had been a long time. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this movie. I also forgot how much I loved this movie. Gary Oldman was creepy as the corrupt DEA agent. Jean Reno was brilliant as the assassin. Harvard graduate Natalie Portman was excellent as the seductively confused teenager.
My favorite Natalie Portman work is this sketch from Saturday Night Live.

Ben, I love your blog but that was a crappy review. You can't bring up the director's cut of The Professional without talking about the creepy scene in the restaurant that took the unspoken theme from the movie and made it awkwardly explicit.
Come now... are we talking about under age drinking? Dan... you, of all people, should be an advocate of wild, underage drinking. I just don't buy the fact that you could not appreciate a 12 year old drinking champagne with a man 3... maybe 4 times her age. I expect more from you.
How was that?
Wait, are we talking about drinking champagne or "drinking champaign"? Because I was talking about "statutory rape", if you know what I mean....
